Salt Potatoes

These are very unique and they always disappear at parties.  They end up looking like munchkin donut holes, so make sure you tell your guests they are potatoes before they take one expecting something sweet. 

 

Ingredients:

1 bad new red potatoes (as small in size as possible)

1 canister of salt (yes, the large canister of table salt like Mortons)

Dip Ingredients:

16oz. Sour Cream

Knorr Leak Soup Mix

Bacon Bits to taste

 

Directions:

Wash the potatoes.

Pour the entire canister of salt in a large pot of boiling water.

Boil the potatoes in the boiling salt water until cooked (about 20 minutes)

Remove potatoes from water and place on a dry surface.  Do not let the potatoes touch each other while cooling.

Once cooled to room temperature, serve with dip.

 

Dip Directions:

Mix sour cream, soup mix and bacon bits in bowl.  Let stand refrigerated at least 30 minutes before serving.
