These are the homemade version of Krystal Burgers –
Yummy. Great for late night party
snacks.
Ingredients:
2 lbs. Ground beef (not lean beef)
2 eggs
2-3 packages dry onion soup mix
salt & pepper to taste
2 packages Pepperidge Farm Party Rolls (@ 20 rolls each)
sliced dill pickles
American cheese (optional)
Directions:
Mix beef, eggs, onion mix, salt & pepper through
(adding onion mix until beef is not wet).
Press into cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees (make sure to press meat
very thin – it doubles thickness after cooking). Bake until meat is brown but edges are not crispy.
Slice rolls in half lengthwise. After meat has cooled, cut a chunk of beef to fit in between
sliced rolls. If using cheese, place on
top of meat along with pickles. Cut
rolls to make individual burgers.
Place on platter and cover with plastic wrap. Before serving, microwave covered until
burgers are steamed and warmed.
